Dialysis is an exciting field that is constantly evolving, where the interplay between medical technology and nursing is of great importance. With us, chronically ill kidney patients receive their blood dialysis treatment regularly. We also accept patients with acute kidney failure. To provide the best possible care for our patients, we have close collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, biomedical engineers, and paramedics. Currently, we have about 65 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a biomedical engineer with us, you are an important support to the care team. You perform service and enable interventions that impact many. We are looking for someone who finds joy in working with interesting technology that directly benefits healthcare.

You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our dialysis machines and water purification equipment. The work content is very varied and includes preventive maintenance, urgent repairs both at the clinic and at patients' homes throughout Skåne. In addition to practical work, you will also plan, design, and prepare home installations, write instructions, and manage documentation regarding preventive maintenance, sampling, and more.

This is due to the fact that we have a home dialysis unit where you, as a biomedical engineer, are an important part of the team. You will visit patients in their homes and work with installation and corrective maintenance. Furthermore, you will work with administrative tasks such as participating in procurement and project work. This also includes updating shared documents related to regulations and guidelines within the organization. The position offers you great opportunities for development within the field of dialysis.

Interprofessional collaboration is central to us, where sampling and other tasks are performed in close cooperation with healthcare personnel such as nurses, doctors, and technicians from various units, making it important to enjoy working in teams across professional boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained engineering graduate in biomedical engineering or a trained technical engineer, or other education/work experience that we deem suitable for the position. You should have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is also required as home visits are a significant part of the job.

We would like you to have experience in biomedical-related work in dialysis operations. If you have previously worked with IT, data, and electronics, that is a plus. Furthermore, we also see that you have good tool skills as hands-on technical work is involved. We also prefer that you have experience with public procurement and project work.

As a person, you are meticulous, communicative, structured, engaged, service-oriented, and responsible. The work requires great consideration for the organization and a knack for service commitments. You have good pedagogical skills as the work involves training both staff and patients. You are used to working independently. At the same time, it is important that you enjoy and function well in a team with colleagues from both your own and other professions. Personal suitability is highly valued.
